ARCHS is excited to announce it has awarded 15 area early childhood centers with funding for new playgrounds. ARCHS received 26 applications in the recent Request for Proposal (RFP) from supported child care programs that are pursuing accreditation. Recently, ARCHS met with directors and representatives from locally accredited child care programs and the Child Day Care Association to review each of the Playground RFPs.
Funding for the selected centers ranges from $1,300 to $20,000. ARCHS' Directors of Grant Management Services will be meeting with the awardees to notifty them of their accepted proposals and finalize plans for the outdoor learning spaces.
